SNS apps should have a truly "full manual" mode, so more people would install / use them

A lot of people use SNS apps like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter etc on a daily basis and are happy with it. That is totally fine.

But a lot of light users do not really care about SNS that much, even though they want to check on new posts and messages and content once in a while, when THEY want to, not when the apps want them to.

These people also prefer longer battery life.

So there is the option to uninstall / disable said apps in favour of using the web browser versions. That way the apps do not keep updating in background, and the user saves battery and also data consumption, not to mention the possible better device performance overall (less lagging) when using other apps.
